celebrate...65 reasons to.

If you have been following the happenings of Rosie+Coop, there was the planning of a 65th fĂȘte. The party was a fantastic success...celebratory and lovely was the decor, the cheerful palette of sunny tangerine, cherry and blush was just the POP! of Spring we had hoped for in the elegant, lofty and modern locale. Most importantly, vibrant and buoyant (with the help of a lively Pinot Grigio) was the guest of honor in all of her 65 glorious-ness! It was truly a treat to help put together this event for both the client and the honoree. A couple pics to view below and  you can find more of the details under the INVITE header. Cheers to 65 and all lifes little + big moments, worth donning a party hat for!

All About Mom

"There is no velvet so soft as a mother's lap, no rose as lovely as her smile, no path so flowery as that imprinted with her footprints". Knowing words from this Sir Archibald Thompson gentleman. I can not say enough good things about the mothers of the world. My own is my hero, and I know so many lovely lady-moms that are valiant, fearless super-moms in their own rights. I don't know about any superior acts of my own mothering tasks...BUT I do know it is a job that makes you courageous. The workload is immense, the lack-of sleep and exhaustion required is equal to that of prehistoric torture chambers, I'm sure. The emotional volcano you surrender yourself to is unimaginable at best, and the JOY, the utterly beautiful child-love, is immeasurable, and something I preserve in the depths of my being. A devotion like no other. In a nutshell, mother-love, drives the human spirit to do the impossible. This I know to be true. There is a reservoir of energy, love, belief and domestic felicity that is a bottomless pool within the mom gene. I salute the moms I know and the ones I don't. We all walked into the unknown with babes in our arms, and lovingly, courageously we try our best to do right by these beautiful creatures. Happy Mother's Day to you, and to the nana's and aunties and other women, glorious in their own right, guiding us and helping us mother and nurture through these unknown territories.

If you haven't grabbed up a gift to celebrate mom (or nana, or auntie...) there is till a wee bit of time to order personalized stationary sets–ribboned, bundled and gift boxed, ready for gifting with love...even the tag says so! See pics below and more info under our stationary and invites headers. Call or email for inquiries, but May 9th is coming soon!

Another little idea I'm toying with is–sweetly vintage style in a pretty little cake plate. ROSIE+COOP originals. Flea-market finds and vintage treasures, crafted into pedestal cake plates for sweet treats of the very best kind. You know my infatuation with saccharine decadence! Didn't this devotion deserve a plate? What do you think? As I craft more I will post some pics...off to treasure-hunt.

The Tale of Spring

Spring has SPRUNG. Easter  is my favorite holiday. It encapsulates all that is spring perfection. A pastel-hued, blossom-filled, dappled sunlight, scrumdiddly-iscious celebration of chocolatey delights. After months of popsicle- toes hibernation, and a garden sitting idle under grey-streaked skies-Spring has finally sprung. It is here where the innocent pleasure of magical bunnies, the adventurous quest of an egg shaped dainty hiding in the folds of delicate new leaves, dressed in your finest easter frock, is all enough to make me squeal delight. It is with that child-like enthusiasm that carries me through much of life these days, that I created a spring affair for toddlers and mommies alike– a tribute to my girlhood love for all that is Sir. Peter Rabbit. On a bright new day, a bluebird came a-calling, the children rejoiced...Spring has Sprung!  Happy Easter.

The Truck Stop

Truck Stop. A One year old boy, a proud mommy (and a big sister who loves pink) and a love of trucks. I was asked to design a theme for a party with two honorees. Both mom and babe were sharing a birthday celebration, but how to combine a young boys passion for trucks and a moms twinkle for all that is girly? With a dash of truck doodle, a sprinkle of girlhood pink and a splash of muddy, rugged boy brown...we have ourselves the TRUCK STOP. This sweet treat themed event is sure to please both boys and girls attending and mom is tickled PINK!
Scroll down for more details from this Rosie+Coop event.

Mommy and me. So the party went off without a hitch and I happened to attend and document this little truck stop event. Mommy had her little bright star close on her hip, taking in all the beauty and fuss that was meant for him. A beautiful way to mark their tandem anniversaries...memories were made in a dizzying blur of pink and brown, balloon rooms, bubbles, sweet treats, crafts and cakes. Thank you to the Abbots for letting me share in your joyful occasion. Happy Birthday Mom and Babe. Tune in below for a peek at the little party that was, for a sweet bright star named boo and a mommy that loves him so. (Remember as always, volume up, for the "aaaaaahhhh sweet" moments.)

LOVEfest

All you need is LOVE. My world is full of wet, slobbery, I love you kisses...but today I had the joy of LOVE kisses, crafty X and O sentiments, chocolate kisses and sticky, glittery, pixie dust hugs. Today was about love, friendship, intoxicating sugary bliss and everything of the BE MINE  variety. With our friends, we "crafted" a day of love. For all who joined us at the Farmhouse Lovefest, thank you for bringing so much wonderful to our home. Happy Valentine's Day. Hope you found your love today in all the little places it sneaks into our lives.
As they say...All you need is love.  xox

The YeeHaw HOE-DOWN

Git Along Little Dogies. Glorified little cowpokes and cowbelles, smokin' showdowns at the saloon and giddy-up ponies, all turned up for a hoe-down fete in the country. We saddled up some sweet tooth chews and celebrated everything cowboy style...pony up and watch the show. (turn up the volume for your yodel-ay-hee-hoo listening pleasure).
